University of Calgary recognizes
Gemini and EHSP's THRIL Certificate Programs
Credit will be awarded towards U of C Continuing Education's Health, Safety and Environmental Certificate
Calgary, Alberta, - June 24th, 2010 - Gemini Performance Solutions Inc.
(Gemini), EHS Partnerships Ltd. (EHSP), and the University of Calgary
(U of C) announced today that they have reached an agreement to grant
University Certificate credit for students completing THRIL (The Health,
Safety, and Environment Resource iLibrary) certificates.
Gemini and EHSP have developed the THRIL Core, Elective, and Enrichment
course series that lead towards three competency-based certificates. Through
this agreement with U of C, students completing a total of 45 hours or
more training will be credited 30 hours of elective course credit toward
the U of C Health, Safety and Environmental Certificate program.
Patricia Larose stated that, “The curriculum developed by Gemini
and EHSP is complementary to our Health, Safety, and Environmental Certificate
Program. The certificates offer a minimum standard in occupational health
and safety training which will provide students with a solid foundation
and help prepare them for our Health, Safety and Environmental Certificate
Program.”
Glyn Jones added, “The idea that students can take any one or more
of the THRIL certificates as a primer before or during their formal University
study is a great benefit. We are pleased that the THRIL certificates ladder
students into the University of Calgary EHS Certificate.”

that would complement existing post secondary and other industry training
providers. This agreement to grant University Certificate credit is confirmation
