BOMA International's online Office Measurement Standard 2010 Course
developed with Gemini receives AIA recognition
Calgary, Alberta, and Washington D.C. - November 1st, 2011 - Gemini Performance Solutions Inc. (Gemini), the Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater Calgary Region (BOMA Calgary) and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA International) announced today that the online training course for BOMA International's 2010 Office Floor Measurement Standard, Exploring and Using BOMA's Office Measurement 2010, has been approved by the American Institute of Architects for two Learning Unit Hours (LUs).
This course, launched in June this year, has also been approved for RPA, FMA, SMA, CPM, and ARM renewal credits. Upon successful completion, a certificate is provided to document training with insurance companies and accreditation boards. This course, which is available through BOMA International's website, www.boma.org, allows managers to independently track trainee progress and receive training records.

The online course outlines what changes were made in the 2010 Office Standard, explains the new terminology and concepts, illustrates the two different methods for measuring office area and guidelines for selecting one or the other, explains the five simple steps to measure office space, and more. The fee for the course is $199 and that includes a complimentary copy of the 2010 Office Standard, "Methods of Measurement and Calculating Rentable Area," a $49.95 value.
