UPDATE #2: Ether Classic Withdrawals

Ether Classic withdrawals are now available.

Two weeks ago we made an announcement regarding our ongoing work to allow withdrawal of ETC (Ether Classic or ETHC) for customers who had ether balances at the time of the “Hard Fork,” as well as customers who have deposited ETC into their Gemini accounts since the “Hard Fork.”

We are pleased to announce that as of Friday, August 12, 2016, Gemini will allow all customers with ETC balances to withdraw their assets. To check your ETC balance and initiate a withdrawal, please visit the Withdraw ETC page.  If you choose to initiate an ETC withdrawal, you must transfer the entirety of your available balance. Your withdrawal request should be processed within five business days.

Although we do not currently have plans to open matching engines for ETC trading, we will continue to update our customers as the ETC situation evolves further.

Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout the implementation of this feature. If you have any questions, please contact support@gemini.com.

Onward and Upward!

I am a lay investor/developer for Ethereum and I support the ETH chain. Its the chain for blockchain innovation….aka follow the developers, not the crypto day-traders of alt-coin’s past 😉

You guys have the absolute worst customer service ever. I’ve been trying to send my ETC balance to another wallet for over a month and have emailed you over 25 times, only half of wish garnished responses and most were from robots that made little to no sense and obviously didn’t read my dilemmas. I’m assuming others are having the same issue trying to offload their ETC with this recurring obnoxious error mesage: “Ethereum address contained letters or symbols that are not part of any valid Ethereum address. Are you sure you typed or pasted it correctly?”
I’ve tried with three different wallets. I’m so fucking sick of this. PLEASE GIVE ME MY MONEY OR AT LEAST PRETEND TO CARE ABOUT HOLDING THOUSANDS OF MY DOLLARS.
