ActiveTrader™ Fee Schedule
March 13, 2026
The following terms apply to all orders placed via the ActiveTrader and exchange API interfaces.
Trading fees are based on order type. Orders that provide liquidity (maker orders) and orders that take liquidity (taker orders) have different fees.
Taker orders are orders that match immediately and do not rest on the order book. Taker orders are subject to the taker fees in the Fee Tiers section.
Maker orders are orders that do not match immediately and rest on the order book. Maker orders are subject to the maker fees in the Fee Tiers section. Maker fees are only charged when a maker order is matched. There is no fee for cancelling a maker order.
Partially matched orders are subject to both maker and taker fees. The portion that matches immiedately will be charged taker fees and the remainder that rests on the order book will be charged maker fees when matched.
Fees are charged in the quote currency or the second currency of the trading pair. For example, the fees for BTC/USD will be charged in USD and the fees for ETH/BTC will be charged in BTC.
Your fee tier is based on either your total trailing 30-day trading volume across all order books (excluding volume traded on stablecoin pairs) or your total asset balance (in USD). Non-USD trades are converted to USD using the most recent fill price. If your total trailing 30-day trading volume and total asset balance are associated with different fee tiers, your fees are set to the higher tier (i.e., you will pay the lower fee).
Your fee tier at the time of your order determines the fees, not the tier after your order. Tiers are recalculated every day at midnight UTC (7pm EST / 8pm EDT) and applied to all orders going forward from that time.

You will be charged interest fees on the outstanding loan amount at the hour, every hour (i.e., 00:00, 01:00, 02:00).

Example: If you have an outstanding loan amount at 9:45, interest will not be charged at that point in time. However, when the clock strikes 10:00, interest will be calculated and deducted based on the outstanding loan amount at that point in time. If you have paid off the loan amount before 10:00 (e.g., 9:55), no interest will be charged at 10:00.
Note: Resting orders increase your loan amount and therefore your interest fees to be paid.
Any liquidation orders that are executed will be charged a liquidation fee of 0.5%. No other fees will be charged for liquidation orders.
Any change to our ActiveTrader Fee Schedule, including adjustments to any tiers or rates, will be emailed and/or posted no fewer than three calendar days before such changes are to take effect and will be in effect for no fewer than 30-calendar-days, subject to any shorter period of time that may be required by applicable law or regulation.
Any order placed after the effective date indicated in any such notice will be subject to the new ActiveTrader Fee Schedule and you will be deemed to have agreed to the new ActiveTrader Fee Schedule by continuing to use the ActiveTrader interface.
