Gemini Mastercard® Credit Card: Referral Program Terms

Crypto Rewards: Referring cardholders can earn $50 in cryptocurrency rewards for each eligible friend referred through this offer, up to a maximum of 50 referrals per calendar year, provided the friend, using the referral link, applies and is approved for their Gemini Credit Card and fulfills the below program requirements. Referred friends will also receive $50 in cryptocurrency rewards upon activating their Gemini Credit Card and completing the requirements. Rewards will be credited in the first billing cycle after the applicable rewards requirements have been completed. This program will remain active until further notice at Gemini’s discretion. To qualify for the reward, the referee’s first purchase transaction must be completed while this program remains active. Referrals should be submitted well in advance to ensure sufficient time for application approval and transaction completion.
Additionally, referring cardholders are eligible for a $250 bonus (“bonus multiplier”) upon their 5th successful referral, totaling $500 in cryptocurrency rewards for five successful referrals. To qualify for the bonus multiplier, the fifth successful referral must occur within a 12-month rolling window, with each referral expiring 12 months after the date of the referred friend’s approval. This means that the five qualifying referrals do not need to be tied to a fixed starting referral but must instead exist within any continuous 12-month period. For example, if three referrals are made in January 2025 and a fourth in March 2025, but the next referral does not occur until February 2026, the January 2025 referrals will have expired. As a result, the March 2025 referral becomes the new starting point for determining the 12-month rolling period and five successful referrals must occur within this 12-month rolling period to qualify for the bonus multiplier. Newer referrals replace expired ones when assessing eligibility for the bonus multiplier. As a result, referrals made later in the year may replace expired referrals when determining eligibility for the bonus multiple from the date of the first successful referral. The bonus multiplier will be credited after the referred friend associated with the fifth successful referral activates their Gemini Credit Card, completes the required purchase transaction, and the transaction is processed.
Referrer Eligibility: To qualify for this bonus, the referring cardholder’s account must be open and in good standing at the time of reward fulfillment. An account is considered in good standing if it is not past due, restricted, suspended, closed, or otherwise in violation of the Gemini User Agreement or Cardholder Agreement. Additionally, the referrer must complete at least one eligible purchase transaction (excluding cash advances) prior to making a referral. Once this requirement is met, no further transactions are needed for subsequent referrals, provided the referrer’s account remains open and in good standing at the time of reward fulfillment. Additional restrictions and program terms apply as outlined below.
Referee Eligibility: Referred friends must be approved for the Gemini Credit Card and complete at least one eligible purchase transaction (excluding cash advances) during their first billing cycle to qualify for the $50 cryptocurrency reward. The referee’s account must remain open and in good standing through the reward fulfillment process.
Rewards will be credited in the recipient’s chosen cryptocurrency into the Gemini exchange accounts of both the referrer and the referred friend. A Gemini exchange account is required to open the Gemini Credit Card and will be created during the application process if you do not already have one. The exchange account must remain open and in good standing to receive and access rewards.
Restrictions and Program Terms: Referred friends who currently hold, have previously held, are an Authorized User on an existing account, or have applied for a Gemini Credit Card, are not eligible. Each Gemini Credit Card is linked one-to-one with a Gemini exchange account, and multiple credit cards cannot be issued under the same exchange account.
Self-referrals using your own referral URL are prohibited. All referrals must be submitted online via the specific referral link provided; applications via phone, mail, or other channels are ineligible. Accounts closed before meeting the requirements will not qualify for rewards. Gemini Credit Card marketing affiliates, those who promote the Gemini Credit Card, its associated offers, or any related promotional campaigns, are not eligible to participate in this program.
Gemini reserves the right to refuse to open an account or pay out a referral bonus at any time, without notice, and for any reason, including but not limited to cases where account activity is deemed suspicious, inconsistent with normal use, or in violation of Gemini's terms. Participation in the program does not guarantee receipt of a referral reward, and any attempts to game, exploit, or abuse the program—such as creating multiple accounts, engaging in rapid account closures and reopenings, or other behaviors designed to manipulate the program—will result in disqualification from this and any future promotional offers. Gemini also reserves the right to revoke earned rewards and terminate accounts involved in such activities.
Gemini also reserves the right to limit or exclude participants from future promotional offers if they have previously received rewards through this or other promotional campaigns. Gemini operates a separate referral program for its exchange services. Applicants may qualify for rewards under either the Gemini Credit Card referral program or the Gemini Exchange referral program, but not both. Gemini reserves the right to modify or terminate the program and may suspend or revoke rewards for fraud, including synthetic ID creation, identity theft, account takeover or other misuse. This offer and its terms may change or be canceled at any time without notice. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you as soon as possible if we need to make such changes. Should any dispute arise, the decision of Gemini shall be final. Participation in the program after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Due to the confidential nature of the credit approval process, we cannot disclose information on who has applied. However, the referrer will be notified if a referee they referred qualifies and meets the program requirements.
Annual Rewards Limit and Tax Information: The maximum annual cryptocurrency rewards for this offer, including referral bonuses and bonus multipliers, is $5,000. Rewards exceeding $600 in a calendar year will be reported to you and the IRS on a Form 1099-MISC, as required by law. Participants are responsible for any applicable tax liabilities. Consult a tax advisor for guidance on how these rewards may affect your taxes.
This offer does not modify or supersede any terms of the Cardholder Agreement, Rewards Program Terms, or the Gemini User Agreement. Any controversy, dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these terms shall be subject to the dispute resolution provisions contained in the Dispute Resolution section of the Gemini User Agreement, which shall take precedence over any other arbitration provisions that may apply under the Cardholder Agreement or Rewards Program Terms.
